Our website is still under construction but I got inspired last night and changed the splash page.
Overall it’s pretty simple. I just created a video class that does all of the video setup, pulls in a f4v file and listens for when the video has ended at which point it reloads the video again. The main class also creates a grid over the video (to help hide the pixelation at high resolutions) and the link you see. The whole page scales up and down to a minimum size.
The video was created in AfterEffects by combining a piece of stock video we purchased with a treated version of our logo and encoded with the H.264 codec.
